Electromagnetic induction heating mainly generates an alternating magnetic field by an alternating current passing through an inductor (electromagnetic coil), and the billet is placed in it to cut alternating magnetic force lines, and an alternating current (i.e. eddy current) is generated inside the billet, so as to achieve the purpose of heating/warming the billet.

EMBR is to control the downward flow speed and immersion depth of the molten steel stream by applying a static magnetic field on the mold of the CCM, reduce the liquid level fluctuation of the meniscus in the mold, and reduce the involvement of mold casting powder.So as to improve the slab quality of the high-casting-speed continuous caster. According to the structure, EMBR can be divided into the full-coverage EMBr and the flow control mold (FC-Mold).
